The project restores disaster-affected sectors and strengthens preparedness after Hurricane Beryl, focusing on coastal and port infrastructure recovery and resilience. Activities include rehabilitation of fisheries landing sites and fish markets, strengthening and upgrading coastal protection (e.g., breakwaters/break walls, seawalls, shoreline stabilization and coastal road protection), and repair and rehabilitation of the Port of Bridgetown, alongside improvements to emergency management systems and studies to enhance port and fisheries infrastructure resilience

To strengthen the resilience of targeted coastal communities and promote sustainable tourism in São Tomé e Príncipe. The project will support green, gray, and hybrid investments for erosion and flood control, and restore mangrove ecosystems.

This project supports the diversification and climate resilience of the tourism sector in The Gambia through coastal protection, infrastructure development, and increased participation of MSMEs. Activities include rehabilitating and managing coastal areas, strengthening institutional capacity, and promoting sustainable tourism practices at selected destinations.

The development objective of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project for Nigeria is to increase the implementation of sustainable landscape management practices in targeted watersheds in northern Nigeria and strengthen Nigeria’s long-term enabling environment for integrated climate-resilient landscape management. The project comprises of four components. The first component, dryland management will implement integrated watershed management planning and addresses challenges of large-scale watershed degradation in northern Nigeria.

This component focuses on incorporating innovative technologies in community-based sustainable NRM. Subcomponents include (a) addressing climate change impacts on water resources and agriculture by promoting innovative climate-smart NRM technologies and (b) alleviating negative impacts of environmental degradation and climate change on livelihoods.

The objective of the Disaster Risk Management and Urban Development Project for the Republic of Niger is to improve the country's resilience to natural hazards.

The objective of the project implemented by the Government of Morocco is to pilot the application of an integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) approach on its eastern Mediterranean coast. ICZM implemented at local level by all users of the coastal resources will leverage rural pollution reduction and protection of biodiversity and ecologically sensitive areas. The project used non-structural and structural interventions, such as training on ecosystem-based co-management, wetlands and dune restoration, and the creation of an artificial reef. 

The project is quite comprehensive, involving capacity building that supports coastal management, and the implementation of coastal protection and green infrastracture. This will include restoration and rehabilitation of coral, wetlands, and sea grass

The project will be doing a feasibility study to propose nature-based solutions, and could include 2.5-3.5 km of hybrid coastal work.

Recovery of public and private infrastructure and livelihoods to streng then climate resilience in the areas most affected by Cyclones Idai and Kenneth and to provide immediate and effective response to an eligible crisis or emergency (there will be restoration of dunes and beach).
