The project reduces land-based pollution entering Albania’s South-West Coastal Belt aquatic environment. Components include wastewater treatment expansion, improved sanitation services, solid waste and plastics management, and nature-based measures such as wetland restoration, afforestation and slope stabilization, and small green infrastructure for nutrient filtration in the Vjosa River basin.
The Green, Resilient and Inclusive Regeneration of the Central Area of Porto Alegre aims to to support an inclusive and sustainable regeneration of the Municipality of Porto Alegre’s Urban Core through integrated investments to improve accessibility, livability, and promote other positive externalities. The project will invest in open green spaces to help mitigate flooding in combination with gray infrastructure.
The objective of the Volcanoes Community Resilience Project for Rwanda is to reduce the risk of flooding, strengthen watershed management, and improve livelihoods of people in the project area. There are five components to the project, the first component being flood risk management. This component seeks to reduce flood risks in the Volcano and Vunga corridor by implementing comprehensive flood risk reduction interventions and by improving flood early warning systems (FEWS) and community-level flood preparedness.

The DPL will support reforms to enhance climate planning and governance, including those that promote plans and programs to restore terrestrial and marine areas to provide protection from storm surges.

restoration in targeted areas of El Salvador. The project will help promote improved integrated landscape management through agroforestry activities and mangrove restoration.

Tree and grass planting for roadway protection and slope stabilization will be used to protect the road and its drainage system.

Financed subprojects included restoration of coral reef, watershed management, soil conservation, restoration of forests, and agroforestry.
The development objective of the Climate-Resilient and Inclusive Livelihoods Project for Republic of Congo is to strengthen landscape management and increase the use of improved livelihood activities in targeted communities. The project comprises of five components. The first component, strengthening capacity of institutions and promoting social cohesion will finance activities supporting institutional and community capacity to build inclusive livelihoods in a changing climate and ensure inclusive participation in such processes.
The development objective of the Climate Resilient Infrastructure for Urban Flood Risk Management Project for Argentina is to reduce flood risk in selected cities and improve integrated urban flood risk management in Argentina, and act effectively in case of an eligible crisis or emergency. The project comprises of four components.
The Program Development Objective (PDO) is to increase the investment capacity of the Municipality of Casablanca, improve the business environment in the city, strengthen the city’s resilience to climate change and enhance access to basic services in the Program Area. The project aims to upgrade and extend green spaces with an inclusive design approach.
