The project supports sustainable coastal and blue economy development by combining policy and institutional reforms with targeted urban investments. Components include (i) development and adoption of spatial planning, tourism and environmental policies and a carbon market framework; (ii) upgrading the Belize City wastewater treatment plant to reduce land-based pollution; (iii) expansion of the potable water network in South San Pedro; and (iv) a solid waste management pilot in San Pedro, alongside project management and a contingent emergency response. 

To strengthen the resilience of targeted coastal communities and promote sustainable tourism in São Tomé e Príncipe. The project will support green, gray, and hybrid investments for erosion and flood control, and restore mangrove ecosystems.

This project aims to strengthen Türkiye’s institutional capacity for integrated fire management and enhance the resilience of forests and communities to wildfires. Key activities include wildfire risk reduction, capacity building, restoration of fire-affected landscapes, and support for rapid response during emergencies.

This project improves the management of natural resources and tourism assets in Southern Tanzania while increasing alternative livelihoods for communities near Protected Areas. Activities include infrastructure improvements in Protected Areas, alternative livelihood development, and catchment conservation to ensure sustainable landscape and water management.

The Sustainable Forest and Landscape Management Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina aims to build capacity among forestry sector stakeholders and demonstrate sustainable forest and land management approaches. Activities include reforestation of fire-affected sites, participatory landscape management, and capacity building to enhance sustainability and resilience of vulnerable forest, scrub, and pasture landscapes.

The Mangroves for Coastal Resilience Project aims to enhance the resilience of coastal ecosystems and communities by restoring and conserving mangroves. The project includes components for mangrove afforestation, supporting sustainable livelihoods, and strengthening integrated coastal management. These efforts reduce disaster risk, mitigate coastal flooding, and protect biodiversity.
