The Saint-Louis Emergency Recovery and Resilience Project aims to reduce vulnerability to coastal hazards along the Langue de Barbarie and enhance resilience planning in Saint-Louis. The project includes relocation of populations in high-risk zones, coastal risk management plans, and hybrid coastal protection measures to address erosion and improve safety and urban planning.
The development objective of the proposed operation is to strengthen the Government of Seychelles Disaster Risk Management policy and reform agenda and enhance its capacity to efficiently respond to disasters. The project provided technical assistance to strengthen the government's capacity for strategic planning and implementation of
coastal management projects, including NBS for coastal resilience.
The development objective of the Can Tho Urban Development and Resilience Project for Vietnam is to reduce flood risk in the urban core area, improve connectivity between the city center and the new low risk urban growth areas, and enhance the capacity of city authorities to manage disaster risk in Can Tho city. The project comprises of three components. The first component, flood risk management and environmental sanitation objective is to reduce flood related risks in the urban core of Can Tho.
The development objective of Human Capital Project for is to improve access to basic services and labor market relevant training in Cabo Verde. This project has five components. 1) Support education system reforms to better prepare in-school youth for future employment, with the following sub-components: (i) Ensure all youth in secondary education acquire skills relevant to the labor market; (ii) Strengthen the system for teacher professional development; and (iii) Monitor learning outcomes and use results to improve education quality.

The project incorporates gray-green flood reduction measures, including mangrove restoration, bioswales, rainwater harvesting, and rain gardens, to enhance resilience and mitigate the impact of extreme weather events.
The Republic of the Marshall Islands Urban Resilience Project aims to strengthen the resilience of select urban areas to natural hazards and climate change. Key activities include risk-informed adaptation planning, coastal resilience investments, and resilient public facility standards, supported by Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) like mangrove restoration and vegetated buffer zones. The project enhances institutional capacity for sustainable adaptation beyond its closure.
The Northern Mozambique Rural Resilience Project aims to improve access to livelihoods and strengthen natural resource management in rural areas of Northern Mozambique. The project includes mangrove restoration and coastal vegetation initiatives in Nampula and Cabo Delgado to stabilize coastlines, reduce erosion, and support fish spawning areas, alongside efforts to promote sustainable agriculture, fisheries, and community-driven development.
The N’Djamena Urban Resilience Project aims to reduce flood risk and strengthen climate-resilient urban planning and flood-related services in N’Djamena. The project implements green and gray infrastructure measures, including rain gardens, green corridors, and rehabilitation of urban wetlands to mitigate flood risks and enhance urban resilience. Key components focus on flood protection, climate-resilient urban planning, and community disaster preparedness.
The Mozambique Social Protection Project aims to provide temporary income support to extremely poor households and establish the foundation of a social safety net system. Key components include institutional strengthening for the implementation of the national basic social security strategy and labor-intensive public works programs in rural and urban areas.
