The development objective of Coastal Adaptation and Resilience Project is to enhance climate adaptation and reduce flood risk in urban and rural areas in the coastal plain of Guyana. This project has three components. 1) The first component, Improving drainage infrastructure, has the following sub-components: (i)Repairs to existing sluices; (ii) Rehabilitation or replacement of drainage infrastructure and channel maintenance/rehabilitation; and (iii) Design and Construction Supervision. Consulting services for condition assessments.

The objective of the Second Regional Climate Resilience Program for Eastern and Southern Africa Project is to improve resilience to water-related climate shocks in Malawi and in the Eastern and Southern Africa region, and in case of an eligible crisis or emergency, to respond promptly and effectively to it. There are five components to the project, the first component being risk management and climate financing.

Host and Rohingya Enhancement of Lives Project

The project aims to improve access to basic services and enhance disaster and climate resilience of the Host Communities and Displaced Rohingya Population (DRP). The project will support afforestation in host communities and refugee camps in Bangladesh's Cox Bazaar district to enhance resilience against extreme weather events, as well as consider NBS to protect water sources as part of water supply infrastructure plans.

The objectives of the Resilient Landscapes Project for Armenia are (i) to increase the area under sustainable landscape management in selected locations and (ii) to promote sustainable economic activities to communities in targeted landscapes in Armenia. The project supports integrated landscape management such as restoration of degraded wetland and rebuilding of fragmented forests.

The development objective of the Integrated Water Management and Development Project for Uganda is to improve access to water supply and sanitation services, integrated water resources management, and operational performance of water and sanitation service providers in Project areas. The objective of the project is to strengthen integrated landscape management in targeted watersheds in the Dominican Republic. The project will incentivize farmers to adopt agroforestry systems; restore and protect riverbanks, wetlands, and riparian forests; restore degraded and fragmented forest ecosystems; and diversify environmentally sustainable livelihoods.


 

Hunan Forest Restoration and Development Project

The objective of the Hunan Forest Restoration and Development Project for China was to enhance the resilience and environmental function of selected ice storm affected ecological forest plantations in Hunan Province by increasing forest species diversity and vegetative tree cover in those areas. There were two components to the project, the first component being reforestation and rehabilitation of damaged ecological forest plantations.
