The project will improve integrated landscape management and ecosystem services and increase benefits for targeted forest‑dependent communities in Tripura and Nagaland. It finances restoration of degraded forests, agricultural lands, and wetlands; soil and water conservation; afforestation and agroforestry; climate‑smart agriculture; enhanced biodiversity conservation; and community‑led landscape planning and value‑chain development for forest‑based livelihoods.

Honduras Sustainable Connectivity Project

Investment Project Financing to construct a new ~46 km, two‑lane, climate‑resilient and safe road connecting CA‑4 (near Macuelizo) to CA‑13 (near Corinto, at the Guatemala border), improve resilient feeder roads, and support inclusive, integrated forest and sustainable landscape management and institutional capacity. The PDO is to improve climate‑resilient and safe transport access in northwestern Honduras and promote sustainable livelihoods through landscape management and women‑led economic initiatives. Total financing: US$187 million. Planned closing: Dec 31, 2031.

BBSEA: Blueing the Black Sea GEF Regional project

A GEF-financed regional IPF that strengthens preparedness of governments and the private sector in Georgia, Moldova, Türkiye, and Ukraine to reduce pollution in the Black Sea. The project delivers national policy/legal assessments and harmonization recommendations; prepares investment recommendations and pre-feasibility analyses for high-impact depollution projects; runs eco-innovation challenges and grants to pilot private-sector solutions; and supports regional knowledge sharing and dialogue.

The project’s development objective is to improve access to climate resilient urban infrastructure and public facilities, and reduce flood risk in selected cities. The project will upgrade green public spaces and riverbanks, integrating NBS to address the urban heat island effect and improve soil infiltration capacities, and invest in hybrid flood risk reduction infrastructure.

The project will strengthen the management of water resources and increase access to improved drinking water and sanitation services in selected regions by financing: (i) mobilization and management of water resources for multiple uses (including rehabilitation of large and small dams and hydrometric systems); (ii) expansion of urban and rural water supply systems; (iii) sanitation and hygiene services including fecal sludge treatment plants and institutional WASH; and (iv) institutional strengthening and project management, with a Contingent Emergency Response Component for shocks.
