The project will promote community-led nature-based solutions to climate change adaptation in the Usangu catchment by financing rainwater harvesting and storage facilities, boreholes, rehabilitation of small check/charco dams to reduce channel erosion and gullying, river training to enhance flows and reduce flooding, tree planting for catchment conservation, and village land use plans for sustainable landscape management.

The project develops multiuse water sources, climate-smart agriculture and livestock services, and environmental catchment services to strengthen rural resilience in Somalia’s drylands. It finances construction and rehabilitation of water points (e.g., sand/subsurface dams, berkads, hafir dams, boreholes), nature-based solutions for watershed-scale restoration and recharge, and community-centered planning and livelihoods support.

The project will improve integrated landscape management and ecosystem services and increase benefits for targeted forest‑dependent communities in Tripura and Nagaland. It finances restoration of degraded forests, agricultural lands, and wetlands; soil and water conservation; afforestation and agroforestry; climate‑smart agriculture; enhanced biodiversity conservation; and community‑led landscape planning and value‑chain development for forest‑based livelihoods.

The project will increase land productivity and strengthen climate resilience of fragile colline communities by restoring priority watersheds, scaling integrated landscape management, and supporting climate-resilient livelihoods. Core activities include enabling policies and institutions for climate risk management, adaptive watershed planning and restoration, climate‑smart agriculture and diversified livelihoods, and land certification to enhance tenure security, with a Contingent Emergency Response Component for shocks

The project improves regional collaboration and strengthens socioeconomic and climate resilience in border-zone communities across northern Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Togo. Components include community infrastructure and services, institutional strengthening, and regional coordination and knowledge. Activities relevant to nature-based and green infrastructure include afforestation and tree nurseries, construction of small earth dams and ponds, and small irrigation canals and landscape restoration to support livelihoods and risk reduction
