Building partnerships to mobilize knowledge, technical capacity, and financing for NBS

As one of the core pillars of the Global Program on Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Resilience (GPNBS), partnerships play a key role in our efforts to scale up nature-based solutions (NBS).

Strategic collaboration with donors, technical experts, and global partners builds synergies that support enhanced design, implementation, and scaling of NBS for climate resilience.

Partnership & Financing

Our work is strengthened by collaboration that brings together knowledge, technical expertise, and financing to advance and scale NBS.

From 2012 to 2026, World Bank financing for NBS and green-gray activities was estimated at $15 billion, comprising $9 billion from International Development Association (IDA) and $5.7 billion from International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
