The project will improve climate-resilient road connectivity and enable value-chain logistics development in southern Niger by financing rehabilitation of the RN1 Maradi–Zinder section (bitumen), associated secondary and rural roads, and logistics-enabling measures; strengthening institutions and project management (with HEIS); and providing a Contingent Emergency Response Component for shocks. The design integrates climate-resilient road standards, drainage and safety, and targeted support to logistics services linked to agricultural value chains and sub‑regional trade
